My cat escaped! What do I do?
Sometimes, despite best efforts, your cat slips out the door. We recommend:
- Set a trap right away near the exit point, baited with sardines! We can loan you a trap – write to tnr@carmah.org. Or purchase one at Tractor Supply!
- Spread the word – post on our FB page, and any local FB pages!
- Contact your local animal control officer
- Follow recommendations for additional ideas at this Humane Society of the U.S. link
